Jesus is the High Priest
(Hebrews 7:20-28)

God
is to be served.
Sacrifice is the ritual to serve God by fellowship offerings.
As the High Priest,
Jesus went directly to God (Heb 7:2)
and performed the services (Heb 7:27).
The High Priest enters the Most Holy Place once a year
to serve, but not without blood (Heb 9:7).
Only the High Priest enters the Most Holy Place because (Heb 9:11-12)
the Most Holy Place refers to the ‘true’ tabernacle - the holy place of heaven (Heb 8:1-2).
Christ
entered the ‘Most Holy Place’, which is heaven (Heb 9:24),
delivered the fellowship offering to God (Heb 10:14),
and reconciles God and mankind (Eph 2:15-18).
The High Priests who appear in the Law cannot be perfect, (Heb 7:12)
so they kept changing, (Heb 7:23)
but since the Lord is the High Priest without fault (Heb 7:28),
He makes us perfect forever (Heb 7:24).
The sacrifices offered by the High Priest
in the Law was the blood of animals (Heb 9:19-22).
But the Lord went to God by His own blood (Heb 8:3).
The Holy Spirit testifies that Jesus is the High Priest (Heb 9:8).
◎ The Law could not make anything perfect,
and since it was weak and useless, it was abolished.
He established the New Covenant, and this is the Gospel.
◎Jesus is the High Priest
who went to God by His own blood.
◎Whoever
trusts in Jesus and goes to God
will be forever reconciled with Him.
Let’s trust in Jesus, who is the High Priest!
Let’s go to God and be reconciled by His blood!
The Lord is the advocate who sits at God’s right hand.
