The families who have loved ones that are hostages want their family members back. The children in Gaza didn't vote for Hamas. Their parents or someone else may have, but they’ve been caught under a brutal, horrific, murderous regime that would terrorize the world, given the opportunity. You don't bargain with evil or negotiate with evil. There is not a humanitarian offer you make to evil. Hamas has to be eliminated.
