It’s good to be back. The Prodigal Son

For some of us we’ve been gone our whole lives.

But, it’s good to be back.

It’s good because; We’re where we belong, we’re able to finally feel relieved, and we’re welcomed with open arms.

You’re like a bunch of weary wanderers that are at the end of a long journey.

A self directed journey in search of personal (self-centered) pleasure.

But, no matter how far you’ve journeyed away, your welcomed back with open arms to a place where you can finally feel relieved, and like you belong.

Jesus teaches us that our Father loves it when we come back to Him.

He taught us about it with the store about the lost sheep and the lost coin.

But here we read about how much it means to our Father when we come back.

Luke 15:11-32. With personal commentary.

11-12, we want what we want when we want it,

13-14, we want it all at once, who cares about the outcome.

15-16, WE BECOME INSANE, LIKE ANIMALS

17, momentary lapses of sanity, God Tapping us on the shoulder and saying, GET HELP!

18-19, ready to do what ever it takes, HUMBLY SEEK THE HELP WE NEED.

20-24, WELCOMED BACK WITH OPEN ARMS.

25-27, WE COME BACK AND CAN BE RELIEVED, RE-FUELED, RENEWED.

28-30, Not everyone may understand or except us right away, But our Father does.

31-32 WE COME BACK TO WHERE WE BELONG, WITH OUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER.

WE WERE SO FAR GONE, WE WERE ANIMALS!
