Today’s Verse: Acts 16:27–31 (NKJV)
“And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, ‘Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.’ Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ So they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.’”
In one desperate moment, a Roman jailer went from the edge of death to the beginning of eternal life. He thought all hope was lost—but through Paul’s words, he encountered the mercy of God.
This passage shows us that salvation is not found in religion, rituals, or good deeds. It comes through one simple but life-changing act: believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. And when one person truly believes, the ripple effect often reaches their entire household.
So today, let this truth settle deep in your heart. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Trust Him fully. And pray for your family and those you love, that they too would experience the salvation and freedom that only He can give.
