Today’s Verse: Leviticus 16:30 (NKJV)
“For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.”

Jesus, our Great High Priest, offered His own blood, once for all, to take away our sins, not just to cover them. The sacrifices of Leviticus had to be repeated; the sacrifice of Christ is complete. God now looks at all who are in Jesus as clean from all their sins before Him, not because of our performance, but because of the perfect atonement of the cross and the risen Savior who appeared in the true tabernacle in heaven on our behalf.

So today, come boldly to your Great High Priest with your failures, fears, and needs, and ask Him to deepen your gratitude for the cross and the empty tomb. Pray for your family, your children and grandchildren, and those who are still trying to deal with their sin through religion, good works, or denial, that they would come to Jesus and be truly cleansed. Walk through this day rejoicing that before the Lord, you are clean, covered by the finished work of Christ, and welcomed into His presence.
