Today’s Verse: 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV)
“Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.’”
God’s call here is clear and personal: “Come out from among them and be separate.” That does not mean abandoning an unbelieving spouse or cutting off unsaved family members. It means that in the middle of a dark world, and even in the middle of relationships where others may choose sin, you choose holiness. To be “separate” is to be set apart, dedicated to God in what you watch, where you go, what you laugh at, what you touch, and who you allow to shape your heart.
So today, ask the Lord to put His finger on anything in your life that is unclean or compromising, and choose to walk away from it out of love for Him. Bring Him your body, your mind, and your desires, and ask Him to renew your thinking so that you lead your “ship” toward obedience instead of letting your flesh steer you into danger. Decide ahead of time what you will not watch, not click, not flirt with, and not entertain, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you love Jesus more than any pleasure or habit that pulls you from Him. Pray for your family, your kids and grandkids, and the men and women who are struggling in hidden battles, that they would come out from the world’s grip and be set apart for Christ.
