Today’s Verse: Psalm 71:1 (NKJV)
“In You, O LORD, I put my trust;
Let me never be put to shame.”
In a world like ours, where young people are bullied, mocked, and torn down by peers and online “voices,” shame can feel murderous. But Scripture reminds us that our true identity and safety are in the Lord Himself. You can surround your home with cameras, alarms, dogs, and weapons, but “unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Real security and real deliverance from shame come from trusting God to guard your life, your mind, and your family.
So today, ask God to lay hold of your thoughts, to quiet the intimidating voices of this world, and to help you listen more to Him than to people or your own fears. Consider even setting aside a regular time to fast and intercede for the next generation, trusting that while the enemy is always circling, your life and theirs are held by the One who judges perfectly, guards faithfully, and will never fail those who take refuge in Him.
