Today’s Verse: Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV)
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”

God calls His people to be peacemakers, not troublemakers. To “pursue peace with all people” means that whenever it depends on us, we look for ways to diffuse tension, bring people to the table, seek restoration, and avoid stirring things up.

It does not mean becoming passive or pretending evil is not real. Scripture never commands us to abandon the protection of our homes, our families, or our nation. Instead, it confronts the attitude that grabs situations “by the ears,” as Proverbs describes with a dog, and then wonders why everything explodes. Some people will not want peace, but that does not excuse us from praying, trying, and keeping our own hearts at peace before God.

So today, ask the Lord to make you both a peacemaker and a holy, set-apart follower of Christ. Bring Him the relationships in your life that are strained, your marriage, your family, your workplace, your neighbors, and pray for wisdom to pursue peace without compromising truth or righteousness. Ask Him to sharpen your conscience about what you see, hear, and entertain, and to give you the courage to walk away from anything that pulls you toward the world instead of toward Him.
