Today’s Verse: Philemon 1:7 (NKJV)
“For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.”

Forgiveness is not optional for the follower of Christ; it is freedom. When you forgive, you release yourself from the grip of bitterness.

Reconciliation may require two willing hearts, but forgiveness begins with one. Even if the other person never responds, your obedience to forgive sets you free.

So today, examine your heart. Is there someone you need to forgive? Someone you’ve withheld reconciliation from? Ask God to soften your heart, to give you His love for that person, and to refresh the hearts of others through your obedience. Let your life be marked by love, forgiveness, and the ministry of reconciliation.
