TODAY…I WOUD LIKE TO REMIND US OF WHAT THE RESURRECTION MEANS TO US ALL…..TO UNCOVER THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION…

DISPLAYS THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD.

GOD HAD SPOKEN MANY TIMES THROUGHOUT THE OLD TESTAMENT OF HOW THE MESSIAH WOULD DIE AND RISE AGAIN….

ISAIAH 53….HOSEA 6:1-2 / SPECIFICALLY HOSEA SHOWS US - HIS WIFE REJECTED HIM (ISRAEL)….

IN GREAT LOVE….HE BOUGHT HIS WIFE THRU HUMILIATION AND MOCKERY…..

HOSEA 3:4-5 = For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or household gods. Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

PSALM 16 HOLY ONE WILL NOT SEE CORRUPTION….PSALM 118- THE RIGHT HAND OF THE LORD - I SHALL NOT DIE BUT LIVE…..ISAIAH 25 - HE’D SWALLOW UP DEATH / CONQUER IT!!!

LUKE 24:26-27 - Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

JOHN 11 - LAZARUS….ALL AUTHORITY IN MY HAND….I AM THE RESURRECTION - THE AUTHOR - THE FIRST AND THE LAST & I AM THE LIFE - THE SOURCE OF ALL LIFE / CREATOR GOD

….. IF I CAN RAISE HIM IN THE LAST DAY…I CAN RAISE HIM NOW!!!

IF HE RAISES US…..LIVING PROOF…..THAT INDEED OUR SINS - ARE FORGIVEN


THE RESURRECTION DECLARES WE ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD….OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN

JOHN 14:2-3 = In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

IT SHOWS WHY THERE IS HOSTILITY TOWARDS THE PEOPLE OF GOD….JOHN 15:19 - If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

THE RESURRECTION SHOWS US THAT JESUS IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS….

ROMANS 1:4 - declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

WHO WOULD HAVE POWER OVER DEATH BUT GOD…ROMANS 6:8-10 - Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God…..GLORIFY THE FATHER
JOHN 20:28 - MY LORD AND MY GOD….
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE CHRISTIAN: ROMANS 8:11 - But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

EPHESIANS 2:5 - when we were dead in sins, GOD quickened us together with Christ…

MADE ALIVE IN CHRIST….

SO….HOW HAS THE DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST….CHANGED YOUR LIFE?

(1) ACTS 16 - PAUL AND SILAS PRAISED AND WORSHIPED GOD IN THEIR ADVERSITIES…..

(2) THE RESURRECTION GAVE THEM THE POWER TO LOVE THE UNLOVABLE….THE PHILIPPINES JAILER

(3) POWER TO BE GOD’S WITNESSES….ACTS 1:8 / ACTS 4 - SILVER AND GOLD HAVE I NONE….

(4) LUKE 10:19 - POWER OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY….

(5) POWER TO GLORIFY GOD….ACTS 17:28 - For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

JOHN 15:8 - Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples…
BE HOLY == LIVE HOLY….BE OBEDIENT - THE BEST WE CAN…
