The temptor, Satan comes to tempt Christ at 3 points striking against exactly what he came to do. But Jesus did not fall into sin like the first Adam. As a result the 2nd Adam, Jesus, is able to stand in the place of people who have fallen to the temptations he resisted yet cling to him by faith.
