In the world of music there is a term known as “overture,” which introduces melodies, harmonies, and movements that the audience will hear throughout a performance. As we continue in Genesis, we come to a theological overture in the life of Jacob, a taste of what is to come for those who belong to Yahweh. But is this anthem one that our ears are tuned to? Is Yahweh’s salvation anthem the theme song of our lives?
