"All of you will desert me," Jesus told them. "For the Scriptures say, 'God will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.' But after I am raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there." (Mark 14:27-28 NLT)

Lord, thank you for your cross. You knew the disciples would be going to betray you, deny you, forsake you. But you still washed their dirty feet so that they could be part of you. You love us while we are unfaithful. You love us when we fail to love you. You wash us by your blood and cover us by your grace. The disciples didn’t understand you when you explained them about your cross and resurrection. They didn’t believe what you said, but you kept your promise. You knew what they would do and went ahead of them to Galilee and met them there where they encountered you and began to follow you. Lord, you know our heart, you know what we will do, and you are there before us. There, you are waiting for us, preparing what we need, and restoring our broken heart. Lord, help us to trust you more and more, let us experience your love and care more and more, guide our day so that we will know your plan is to prosper that we don’t understand how but you can. In Jesus name. Amen.
