The state of marriage in our modern day society is in complete and utter shambles. Although the statistics regarding divorce ACTUALLY appear to be improving (ONLY 40% of marriages resulting in divorce, which is down from 50% in the 1980’s), the quality of marriage is decidedly lower than ever before. Out of the 60% of marriages that survive, many are on life support and are barely making it day by day. God instituted Biblical marriage with an original design and the end goal was and is today still the same: to bring Him glory! This morning, we will look at His original design, rather than secular culture’s design, so that we have a goal to target in our own marriages.
