Marriage Matters
1 Corinthians 7:1-5

1. What is marriage? (v.2)
1a. Negatively, God-intended antidote to sexual immorality
2b. Positively, it is a union of a man and woman as husband and wife.

2. What are your marital duties? (v.3)
1a. Perform your duty and stop making demands.
2b. Do not insist on personal rights!

3. Enjoy what God has given you in marriage!
4. Sexual intimacy is not for the unmarried

- What are the principles of marriage?
A) Maintain the God-ordained sexual relationship in marriage
- What is the purpose of physical intimacy between husband and wife?
a) it is a healthy expression of intimate union
b) Procreation
c) Pleasure

2. Self control should be exercised in Christian marriage

Application:
1. Remember that satan want to destroy this gift of God!
2. Don't neglect this God given gift
3. Plan and strategize
4. Prepare for marriage
