Take It With You!

Here we will offer thoughts and meditations on the message to help us as we contemplate and discuss and wrestle with what we are hearing.

Jesus can save and will save all who have even only a little faith in him - even if at times we too doubt. The promises he has made he will keep, even now in the present time, as this tired old age still fights against the new age of salvation. He is the Lord of creation, who entered it in order to set all things right. His power over creation was cloaked in weakness. He took upon himself humanity's sin and the divine curse of death, only in order to burst forth new as the Lord of life, the Lord over death and everything that would destroy us. This is Jesus; it is he, and no other. He promises to bless the poor in spirit (5:3) and to save on the Last Day when he renews the face of the waters and face of the earth (cf. Gen 1:2;8:13; Amos 5:8; 9:6; Psalm 104:30). His disciples can believe in who he is and trust in the promise he has given.
