I'm doing daily Bible verse readings to share, grow, and impact others for good!

Matthew 23:12 (NLT)
"But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

The book of Matthew was written by a former tax collector that became one of Jesus' 12 Disciples. These twelve were a quite diverse bunch, that was unified and became one team, with one vision. Jesus built them up by teaching to resolve conflict as they were so diverse. He continued to show love and never gave in or gave up what was right. Unity, in the end, will always create an unstoppable force

Matthew 23 begins with Jesus preaching to the crowds and teaching of the falsehoods of current religious leaders; maybe not so different from many that we experience now. This verse is a reminder to each of us that the key to spreading the gospel is to be true. Those that try to lift themselves up exalt themselves as the scripture says, they will be shut down, God doesn't ask permission, he just does.

Be true to yourself, be true to God, and just maintain a strong and healthy relationship with Jesus. #BeKind #SpreadGoodness
