Matthew 25:26-27 (NLT)
26 “But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate, 27 why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’

This verse is talking about work, and growth of people. We are all managers to some degree. Students manage their time so they can study to make good grades. Parents manage their homes and children. Business owners manage employees and company operations. We manage other things in our lives as well!

We also have a responsibility to manage our talents. God has gifted some of us with creative talent; others he has given a talent for teaching or for playing musical instruments. Others are leaders who have the ability to motivate and encourage people to action. You may think your own talent seems small in comparison with those of other people, but does that really matter? God asks each of us is that we invest what we do have. Have you hidden your talent, waiting to use it “someday”? Right now is the time. Where can you plant your gifts today?
