Hi guys, start of a new week!
I received some feedback, thanks for that! One of the issues was the sound of my voice. Sometimes a little bit fluctuating. I tried to be more stable on the voice part.
Here you can find the transcript:

1 Timothy 2:14, “And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.”
Interesting points:
1. In the previous verses Paul referenced the order of man and woman’s creation to support the idea for men to take the PRIMARY leadership role for spiritual matters. In this verse he cites the fall of mankind, as described in Genesis 3, to reinforce why men should assume this mantle.
2. Created first, and charged by God to care for the Garden of Eden, Adam shouldered the responsibility for their sin even though it was Eve who first sinned because she was deceived by the serpent. Paul specifically states that Adam was not deceived although he was with Eve and ate the forbidden fruit she provided him. The serpent deceived her by sowing doubt, which caused her to study the tree’s fruit finding it both good for food (probably some animal safely ate it) and pleasing to the eye. Her desire to be like God – knowing good and evil – led her to sin. Not only did she sin, she convinced Adam – who was happy enough to do as God had instructed him -- to sin. He ate because his God-given helper provided him food without questioning.
3. Talk about an interesting argument for disqualifying women from taking the primary leadership role! Are men more likely to stick to their guns and do you really think that women are more easily convinced? The truth is all men have sinned, fallen short of the glory of God and are in desperate need of His grace.
Application.
Brothers, for better or for worse the buck stops with us men and we will be held accountable for what did or did not get done. Had Adam been more vigilant or established a system for the two of them to confer before any big decisions, perhaps the outcome could have been different. But that is not what transpired in Genesis…
As a reflection to Eve’s deception by the serpent, may we remain vigilant when faced with doubt by returning and abiding to God’s Word, may we refrain from leaning on our own (man’s) understanding, may we be very wary about trusting our eyes but seek God’s wisdom in determining the Truth, and may we be very careful not to lead others astray from the Truth. Lastly, may we be careful not to usurp God’s place on the throne of our hearts by humbling ourselves before Him in prayer and wisdom.
