Sermon Title: Merely Attached OR Ministry Matched?
Text: Ephesians 4:7-13

One of the simple games my grandchildren love to play is “the matching game”. The cards are laid face down on a table, and by taking turns, the players each try to find a matching front and back of some object. It takes work and often their young minds have quicker recall than mine! A similar spiritual principle is at work in every church as God’s people seek to match their gifts and abilities to works of service that build God’s kingdom. Although it is a serious endeavor in the church, just like the board game, it takes work!

Paul declares the importance of matching ourselves to the fullness of Christ’s purposes as we together build up the church of Jesus Christ and grow in spiritual maturity. We will talk about the practical application of this truth this week in our Ephesian series.
