Listen to the 16th part of the message series in Daniel, "The Greatest Answer To Prayer" from Daniel 9:20-27. The second half of chapter nine contains one of the most significant prophecies in all the Old Testament Scriptures, and is the key that unlocks other prophecies. 570 years before Jesus died on the cross, his death is here determined by the actual date, pinpointing the exact time of history. The accuracy of the prediction of the coming of Jesus as Messiah is indisputable evidence that the Bible is inspired by God Who Alone knows the future down to the exact date, and that God is sovereign and in full control over time and the affairs of men. Daniel 9:24-26: " Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.
25 " Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.
26 " And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
