When Jesus prepared to send his disciples out on mission, he was working with a group of men who, at least as Mark’s account goes, hardly seemed suited to the task. And yet he sent them with authority to act on his behalf. The implication is that the mission was possible, even for them. This should encourage us that we, too, are called to a mission that, under Christ’s authority, is possible.
