Everyone knows we should repent of the bad things we do, but Christianity calls us to also repent of the good things we do. We are to turn away from all our attempts to find security and worthiness and rightness in who we are and what we do. The gospel provides all that we need in Jesus Christ alone!

This is a WELS sermon on the readings from Year B 15: All God-pleasing obedience must begin in the heart. Readings are Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 6-9, 14-18; Ephesians 6:10-20; and Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23.
