In recent days we have seen a revival of interest in and embrace of reformed theology. With that revival of interest, there has also come a renewed commitment to a biblical ecclesiology. Wheras something like Shepherds Conference was rare just a couple of decades ago, now there are conferences all over the country that address local church matters, and there have been many books and blogs written that address spiritual health at the local church.

The result of that renewed focus on biblical ecclesiology has been a revival of church discipline. What is church discipline? Church discipline, defined at its most basic level, is simply the church practicing the corrective love of God in community.
