We often want our churches or organizations to have people who look, think, and act like us. When someone doesn't fit our man-made mold, they are ignored while those who conform are given greater attention. There is a word for this type of preferential treatment and separation: discrimination. James 2:1-13 tells us that discrimination--whatever it's called and however it's justified--is a sin.
