James 2:20-24 can be confusing, because it says that believers are considered righteous by our works—what we do. But much of the rest of scripture says that we are absolutely not counted righteous because of what we do, but through faith alone. How we resolve this apparent contradiction will make all the difference in how we live out our faith.
