Today's lesson goal is that students will prepare their hearts for the coming of the Son of Man. Some of the BIBLE TRUTHS we'll learn today are:
■ The disciples saw the “Son of Man coming in His kingdom” (Matt. 16:28). ■ The events at Jesus’ transfiguration proved that He is God.
■ God revealed that Jesus is His Son and should be obeyed.
The KEY VERSE for our passage is:
“…and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” —Matthew 17:2
Some key application points are:
■ Please Jesus with your every action.
■ Listen to Jesus through God’s Word.
■ Look forward to the coming of the Son of Man.
