Martha serves Jesus but grows bitter in the process. She’s disappointed by her sister and even resentful to Jesus. Martha feels completely justified in her anger until Jesus helps her see that the problem is not with others, the problem is within her own heart. This must have been shocking to Martha. Jesus is not teaching her to stop serving, but teaching her how to serve with an endless love.
