Jesus told Peter to throw out his net even though he had been working all night and caught nothing. Peter had the wrong attitude about his work. Peter worked during the night instead of using the day for some of his work. Jesus told him to go out into the deep and throw out his net, and Peter obeyed. God wanted Peter to see that his blessings were not under his own might, but by the might and power of God and God alone.
