The blessing of Abraham in Genesis 12 was intended to bless all people. Jesus, the promised "seed of Abraham" ascends to heaven to send the Spirit who empowers a diverse group to come together in a miraculous way. The good news of Jesus was never just about individual relationship with God. Indeed, the core of the gospel, and the calling of the Church, has always been about bringing diverse people together, united in Christ.
