The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, but the belly of the wicked suffers want. — Proverbs 13:25

There is something about gastrointestinal bliss, isn't there? Where your belly feels just right after that perfect meal so that the body is delighted with the ideal post-meal experience. But Solomon's not just talking about the feeling of the food in the stomach. He's alluding to the unseen contentment within the righteous man's soul.

Fellas, the righteous man, lives life with incredible soulful satisfaction. This is because they know that satisfaction only comes from God. Therefore this man doesn't fret about the things of this life because his soul is always full. And in those times he has less, he finds his satisfaction in God. And in those times, he has more, he also finds his satisfaction in God. Thus he is trained by godly satisfaction to be content whatever the circumstance. Because contentment is not about what you have or don't have, it's about who you know. And fellas, we know a God who has all things — he satisfies. So be content today.

ASK THIS: Where in your life do you need to learn contentment? Is it in the less or, the more?

DO THIS: Learn to be content with what you have right now.

PRAY THIS: God, thank you for satisfying my soul. You are always enough.
