Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-11)
Jesus' message to the pastor of the church at Philadelphia
Words & music by Chad Woodburn
February 7, 2012
So little strength have you,
yet you have kept My Word;
you've not denied My name.
This shall I do:
I'll open doors shut tight,
those who oppose shall kneel
and shall confess that you're
loved in My sight.
Since you've obeyed so faithfully
temptations' power you'll escape.
Though all the world is tested, you'll
have victory.
I'm coming soon, you see.
Hold fast to what you have;
let no one take your crown:
You'll reign with me.

Revelation 3:7-11
7 And to the messenger of the church in Philadelphia write:
"Thus says the holy one, the true one, the one having the key of David, the one opening (and no one shuts), and shutting (and no one opens),
8 'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut, because little power do you have but have kept My word and have not denied My name.
9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
10 Because you have kept the word of my perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing that is coming on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
11 I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may take your crown.'"
