Philippians 4:6-13 = Everything By Prayer. God has made us His children and citizens of His kingdom. Since we are His children, then we are called to stand firm in the Lord and allow Him to do what He wants to do in and through us. As we stand firm in Jesus Christ, He is our strength. We will be strengthened by drawing closer to Him and abiding in Him. As we abide in Him, he strengthens His people. As we are strengthened our trust and faith are built and so, we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.

DON’T BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING! YOU MUST NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!

ANXIOUS = WORRIED…MENTAL DISTRESS -SHOWS

SOME OF US WORRY AS A HOBBY….SOME HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS - YOUR PROBLEMS HAVE A WAITING ROOM….THEY TAKE A NUMBER….

WHAT DOES GOD SAY? 1 PETER 5:7 - Cast all your CARES/anxieties on Him, B/C He cares 4 you.

PSALM 55:22 - Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
DOES THIS MEAN THAT YOU’RE NOT RIGHTEOUS? NO! NOT IF JESUS IS UR LORD AND SAVIOR!
GOD TELLS US…in every situation, by prayer and SUPPLICATION / petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

DAVID HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS…SOME OF HIS OWN DOINGS….SOME WERE BROUGHT ON BY OTHERS…..SOME BY GOD….SOME BY THE DEVIL

Q: WHICH ONE IS YOUR PROBLEM? HANDLING YOUR PROBLEMS CAN BE DEALT WITH MUCH ESIER WHEN WE KNOW WHAT KIND OF PROBLEM IT IS.

PROBLEMS OF YOUR OWN DOING - REPENT
PROBLEMS FROM SOMEBODY ELSE / BY GOD / BY THE DEVIL = PETITION = SINCERE REQUEST THAT PURPOSEFUL AND INTENT!!!

JOHN 15:7 - If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you…..IF IS A MIGHTY SMALL WORD…THAT CREATES A WHOLE LOT OF ISSUES!

IF YOU ABIDE IN ME….CONTINUE IN - LIVE IN ME

I WANT TO BE YOUR HOUSE!!! HOW DOES A MAN PRAY WITHOUT CEASING….BY ABIDING IN HIM

HERE IN HIS PRESENCE = PSALM 91 - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, SHALL
abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

GOD HAS A SECRET PLACE….WE LIKE TO VISIT GOD BUT NOT ABIDE…EXPERIENCE HIS COVERING
IT’S IN HIS PRESENCE….the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

WHY GUARD YOUR HEART AND MIND….B/C WHEN YOU AND I ARE HURTING = WE DO THINGS THAT DON’T MAKE SENSE!

WHEN YOU ARE HURT = U WANT TO SLASH TIRES

WHEN U DON’T FEEL GOOD - LASH OUT AT OTHERS

WHEN UR GOING THROUGH SOMETHING - YOU’RE NOT QUITE YOURSELF!!!

THIS IS WHY GOD TELLS US TO ABIDE IN HIM!!!

SO WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE MOST HOLY PLACE = ROMANS 12;1-2 = I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that U may prove what is that good & acceptable & perfect will of God.

whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. & the God of peace will be with you. RENEW YOUR MIND….WORRY IS UP HERE!

PROVE OR VERIFY = WHAT IS THAT GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE & PERFECT WILL OF GOD….
WE CHARGE OUR PHONES…WE CHARGE OUR CARS….WE EVEN CHARGE OUR TOOTHBRUSH….

YOU NEED TO CHARGE YOU?

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.
