During his ministry, Jesus often healed the blind: “…on many who were blind he bestowed sight” (Luke 7:21, ESV).

But the Scriptures also speak often of spiritual blindness: “Keep listening, but do not understand; keep looking, but do not perceive” (Isaiah 6:9).
