Praise

Psalm 63:3–4
Because God's lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Him. I will bless the Lord while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

We are chosen, selected, favorite to obtain salvation through Christ. A generation meaning a family.
Our mission is to proclaim the praises of Him meaning God who called us from a place of darkness, which is separation from God in sin to His light, back in communion with God and forgiven of our sins.

Hebrews 13:15
Therefore by Jesus let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

It is for all of us, on a continuous basis to praise God. The evidence? is what comes out of our lips meaning giving thanks to His name at all times.
