Key idea: God is honored when husbands and wives joyfully live out God’s roles for them, thus displaying the beauty of the gospel.

I. Genuine Beauty is Seen in a Wife’s Submission

Biblical submission is a wife’s deliberate and voluntary decision to obey, respect and encourage her husband’s authority and leadership over her, even amidst his sins, shortcomings and failures, and all the while using her humble heart, intellect, personality, and gifts to do so.

- For the brothers: How has the world influenced your view of being a man? What is God’s view of what a godly man is like? What are the challenges that husbands face when living out God’s roles for them? What encourages you about God providing this role for wives?
