Psalm 118:1-2 and 4, 22-24, 25-27a ‘The stone rejected by the builders’ is a psalm of thanksgiving and is presented as an acknowledgment of mercy from God.

1. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
For His mercy endures forever.
Let the house of Israel say:
“His mercy endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord say:
“His mercy endures forever.”

2. The stone which the builders laid aside
Has become the cornerstone.
This is the work of the Lord,
A marvel in our eyes.
This day was made by the Lord
We're glad and rejoice in it.

3. O Lord our God grant salvation!
And prosperity do give us
Blessed in the name of the Lord; is He who comes
We bless You from the house of the Lord.
The Lord God is our light.
