Oh, the heavens sing the glory of God;
skies proclaim their maker’s blest handiwork.
Each day tells its tale to its tomorrows,
one night tells its followers all it knows.
Though they have no words and no tongue to speak,
and their voices are not heard in the least,
yet their psalms have sung to earth’s ev’ry place,
their good news to stars of dark sacred space.
LORD, tzuri v’goali. Lord, amen.

The torah of the LORD is perfect and revives my soul.
The witness of the LORD is surely wisdom for my soul.
The statutes of the LORD are just and so rejoice my heart.
The mitzvot of the LORD are clear, enlightening my eyes.
The rev’rence of the LORD is pure and will endure all things.
The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous, nothing less.
More to be desired are they than much fine gold,
sweeter far than honey, honey in the comb.

Who can know one’s own offenses? Lord, who?
Cleanse me from my secret faults. I pray you
keep your servant still from presumptuous sins;
in this strife of my life, let sin not win;
so shall I be sound and whole, innocent.
Let the words of my mouth, let my intent,
let the meditations of what is true
of my heart be good, my Lord, good for you.
LORD, tzuri v’goali. Lord, amen.
