Psalm 42 :2-3; 43:3, 4 ‘Athirst is my soul for the living God’ is a psalm of thanksgiving for His goodness, mercy and answering prayer in times of distress.
R/- Athirst is my soul for the living God (2)
1. As the hind longs for running waters,
So my soul longs for You, O God.
Athirst is my soul for God, the living God.
When shall I go and behold the face of God?
2. Send forth Your light and Your fidelity;
They shall lead me and be my guide
And bring me to Your holy mountain,
To the place where You dwell, O God.
3. Then will I go in to the altar of God,
Who is my gladness and my joy;
Then will I give You thanks upon the harp,
Raising my heart to You O God, my God!
