Purged from Idols to Rest in Jesus
Genesis 35:16-20

This week we pick up at Gen 35:16 where we find three more things that are done to set the stage for the next generation.

- First, Jacob is purged from an idol (Gen 35:16-20)—this week’s
subject.
- Second, Jacob’s 12 sons are introduced as a divided company.
- Third, Isaac is buried and Jacob and Esau are at peace so that
Jacob’s family can move into the future without the threat for them.
