There are certain stimuli that we need to watch out if we want to keep the purity of our speech. In the previous sermon, the stimuli were adverse circumstances, such as facing false accusations, hatred, and threat. But in all these dangers, the Lord Jesus Christ was able to keep the purity of His speech.
But some stimuli are in the form of wonderful experiences. And if we are not watchful about the way we respond, we may fall into the impurities of boasting. Therefore, it is necessary for us to watch out on how we respond in bad times, as well as in good times, so that we may keep the purity of our speech.
