For it is written in the Book of Ezekiel 36:1-38:

GOD chose Israel as HIS children, HIS children fell into sin for following after the heathens and the gentiles. GOD, angered by their disobedience, disiplines HIS children as any good parent would do. Is not GOD who is also CREATOR of all things big and small even the more to be revered and bowed down to for being so much more majestic and powerful a righteous and loving MASTER?

GOD loves Israel and will protect her no matter what. HE has promised this to HIS chosen children (Jew) and adopted children (gentile). "16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.HE's also promised that any nation who does not believe in HIS only begotten son, JESUS who is the CHRIST, being who HE has said HE is will be cast into the lake of fire." (Romans 1:16-17)
