Babies are so cute, but not when they're actually fully-grown adults! The Corinthians were divided because they each thought themselves so wise but Paul makes clear that their selfish divisions prove that they are more like helpless little children. As Paul will famously say later (1 Cor 13:11), it is time grow up and put away childish things.
