Come, Come to, Come to Believe.
We know what this saying means.
The first step is to come. (We need to come for help)
Then we have to ‘come to’ (we need to ‘wake up’ get the cob webs out)
Then we ‘Come to believe’. This is Faith.
First, How on Earth did we make it? How on Earth did we make it here.
Whatever the reason you think you’re here, you’ve come here.
Now that you’re here, what are you doing? Do you know yet?
You may think you know, but it’s been my experience that our initial purpose for coming to a place like this changes once we’ve been able to get truly honest with ourselves.
Once we’ve ‘come to’, we can seek honestly for the help we need. And that requires faith.
It’s funny, we’ve put faith in people, things or decisions that should have killed us
But we find it hard to put our faith in the reason we’re still alive. How we had the ability to come.
Well here it is, God loves us and has a plan for our lives.
Heb. 11:1-3 w/ person commentary
Heb. 11:5-7 w/ commentary
God likes us to trust Him
Our God, likes us to have faith in Him.
Heb. 11 is a look back at people of faith in the Old Testament.
In the New Testament Christ both displays faith and teaches it.
In His time in the desert tempted by Satan.
In his healing’s.
We must come to believe that God, the only truly GOOD power greater than ourselves, can restore us.
DEVOTIONAL” Hope in Faith”
Once we’ve turned our lives over 100%
We can have the faith needed to continue through to completion.
