Judge Not!

Matthew 7:1-5, Romans 2:1-11

Judge Not, Lest Ye Be Judged.

Looking at ourselves is hard.

If you liked the person you were, you wouldn’t be here.

We don’t change unless we notice the need for change.

No one truly wants to become worse or sicker, so we all want to get or be better.

A better person. We come in to recovery to become a better person.

The problem is, that in order to do so, we have to expose our bad stuff, our shortcomings.

This isn’t easy, so we instinctively want to make ourselves feel or look better than we are.

One way to do this is to point fingers.

We take the focus off ourselves and put it on someone else.

We point out everyone else’s faults; we judge others.

Another big problem is, Superiority!

That false pride that tells us that we’re better than.

They are all a bunch of idiots, look at them.

I’m sure glad that I’m not as bad as they are.

Romans 2:5-11 with commentary,

GET HUMBLE! I can’t stress that enough, YOUR IN THE SALVATION ARMY!

For whatever reason your pointing your finger, it needs to stop.

JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED!
