Have you heard any good news recently? It seems like the world is in short supply of good news, but maybe it is because they have not heard the gospel. Many people define the gospel as good news, and it is. However, the gospel is far greater than any good news we could ever hear. It is a message for all people, regardless of age, race, tribe, gender, intelligence, ethnicity, language, or nationality. It is a message of eternal salvation, and it is called the everlasting gospel in the book of Revelation.
During the tribulation, the Antichrist and his false prophet will deceive the world by performing great signs and preaching lies. In spite of that, God does not want any to perish and desires all people to come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9). So in a final effort to reach the lost, the Lord sends an angel to preach the gospel from the midst of heaven. Yet, people will still refuse to fear God, to give Him glory, and to worship Him. Because they fail to accept the good news of the gospel message, we are told they will be tormented with fire and brimstone forever and ever.
This Sunday, Pastor David will continue his study through the book of Revelation as we look at another section of the panorama of Christ’s ultimate victory. We will see what happens to those who reject Christ, but we will also get a glimpse of those who place their faith in Jesus during this difficult time and the special blessing pronounced upon them. We hope you can join us as we are reminded of the great news of the everlasting gospel!
