TODAY'S SCRIPTURE TO REFLECT ON

“And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.” Revelation 9:5-6 nkjv

TODAY'S WORD FOR US
Many those in pain from their sickness of old age and also through various diseases in their life, they seek to end their life through suicide or assisted euthanasia. Somewhat similar expression is shared by those in the future where they are facing the judgment of God in great tribulation, they can not die, but face the pain for five long months whis the time frame of the lifespan of a scorpion like locust. We also know that seeking death to avoid pain is being cowardly action before the eye of God and God gives life and takes it. We need to remind ourself that God is the one who gave us life and he wants us to live no matter of what circumstances you are in and know that he is loving God who delivers. Also, from God’s perspective from today’s scripture, those who do not believe in God, through the pain and suffering, God wants them to turn to God as they witnessed grace of protection to those who knew God.
