Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely. — Proverbs 28:5

If you've looked out at the world as of late and wondered why we are allowing people to steal, kill, and destroy, here's the good news. You are probably governed by some measure of righteousness.

But you need to keep in mind that evil men have no concept of right. They only do what is wrong. And when you don't care about both right and wrong, then you have no understanding of justice. So evil men don't believe in justice. This is why they want to remove it and defund it. They want to be allowed to do even more wrong.

But righteous men. We love justice. And we understand it. We know five things about it. First, we know that every man has evil desires. Second, we know that these evil desires result in actions. Third, we know that evil actions inflict suffering. Fourth, we know that injustice demands a penalty. Fifth, we know that a righteous man is the only one who will stand against the progression of evil and injustice. This is why we are so irritated with the injustice we see today. 

So now you know why you are irritated with what is happening in the world. But there are two things you can do about it! First, you can pray about it. Pray that justice rolls and will prevail over the injustices of this world. Second, you can stand against injustice. When you see it you can stand in the gap for what is right and righteous because this is exactly what Christ did for you.

ASK THIS: How will you stand against injustice today?

DO THIS: Stand up.

PRAY THIS: God, help me to be righteous and at the same time, find the right way to stand against injustice.
