This lesson is week 1 of the book of Colossians. The focus of this lesson is the importance of being "rooted in the truth" of who we are in Christ. Paul is addressing the Colossian Church. They are struggling with false teaching that is infiltrating the church. He first reminds them of his constant prayer for them. He admonishes them for their faith.Paul reminds them to "return to their roots", that is the Gospel they heard preached in Ephesus. It is important to stay grounded and rooted in the truth of God's word.
