God promises to be with us, even granting the sign of a child who would be named Immanuel, "God is with us." This promised sign was given during the time of the King Ahaz but pointed forward to an ultimate fulfillment in Jesus (Matthew 1:23). God promises to be with us but are we available to be with God?
